At BHAM, we do things differently. We are proud to be Bellingham’s only purpose-built, non-profit music rehearsal facility.

Our space was engineered from the studs up specifically with musicians in mind. We designed and constructed the walls, structural sound isolation, and dedicated electrical wiring from the ground up to handle the exact acoustic and power demands of high-volume rehearsals.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every single dollar from your rental goes right back into community gear maintenance, facility upkeep, and youth music scholarships. Whether you need a quick afternoon jam or a long-term home base, you are playing in a space built by musicians, for musicians.

Option 1: Hourly Rehearsal Space (Room R3)

Perfect for solo artists, traveling musicians, students, and bands who want a plug-and-play space without hauling heavy gear.

How Hourly Rentals Work:

The Flat Community Rate: $20.00 / hour (open to all local/touring bands, solo artists, and educators).
Current BHAM Students: Free ($0.00) during any open time slots (includes Rock Band After School students).
Booking Tip: While single-hour slots are available, we highly recommend a 2-hour minimum session block to ensure you get plenty of playing time around your setup and teardown.
Plug & Play Backline: We provide the heavy gear—a premium 5pc Maple drum kit w/hardware, professional bass/guitar amps and cabs, full 12-input PA system, and microphones/stands/cables. You just bring your personal instruments (guitar/bass), cymbals, drumsticks, and pedals! (*Also further instruments from Lending library as available).

Option 2: Dedicated Monthly Lockout Rooms

Perfect for established local bands looking for a secure, long-term creative home to set up (and store) their own gear and practice on their own schedule.

How Monthly Lockouts Work:

Month-to-Month Flexibility: No rigid, long-term commercial leases. Our shared spaces operate on a flexible, month-to-month basis to adapt to your band's timeline.
Affordable Community Pricing: Rates range between $350 to $450 per month per band. When split evenly among 4 band members, it breaks down to an incredibly affordable $87.50 to $112.50 per person to secure a prime downtown rehearsal spot.
Your Gear, Your Setup: Unlike our plug-and-play hourly room, monthly lockouts are designed for you to move your own amps, drum kits, pedalboards, and recording rigs in and keep them set up exactly how you like them.
Secure Access: Dedicated tenants receive specialized building access boundaries and scheduling privileges separated from our public daily-use visitors.

How It Works (Our Verification Process)

To ensure a secure environment for our community's valuable musical equipment, all inquiries follow a multi-step onboarding process:

Submit the Form: Let us know if you are looking for hourly or monthly space using the form below.
Staff Follow-Up: A BHAM team member will reach out to verify availability, coordinate calendars, and walk you through your digital paperwork.
Agreement & ID Mandate: Before any key codes are issued, the primary booker must digitally sign our Studio Rental Agreement and provide a valid copy of their driver’s license to be kept securely on file.
Access Activation: Once approved, your custom electronic keypad access window will be programmed into the suite doors.
